Akari Lighting and Technology Corporation and the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) have officially sealed their groundbreaking partnership with a successful contract signing held at the Atencio-Libunao Hall in UP Diliman, Tuesday.
This significant event marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for collegiate sports in the Philippines.The partnership between Akari and the UAAP is driven by a shared vision to enhance the sports experience for athletes and fans.
Christopher Tiu, CEO of Akari Lighting and Technology, highlighted the motivation behind the collaboration.
“The partnership is driven by a mutual desire for both parties to collaborate and provide UAAP fans with a regular venue where games can be enjoyed and sportsmanship can be fostered,” Tiu said.
With the agreement now in place, Akari’s immediate goal is to build a world-class sports venue that caters to the athletes’ needs to boost their development.
“Our goal is to create a world-class sports venue that addresses the needs of the UAAP member schools and their athletes for all sports developmental requirements,” he said.
The new arena will provide the UAAP member schools and their athletes with a home arena they can call their own.
